Today, Apple TV+ debuted the trailer for the upcoming live-action comedic adventure “Time Bandits,” the first-ever television adaptation of the beloved cult classic movie by the same name. “Time Bandits” is an unpredictable journey through time and space with a ragtag group of thieves and their newest recruit: an 11-year-old history buff named Kevin. Together they set out on a thrilling quest to save the boy’s parents — and the world.

Guided by Lisa Kudrow, the eccentric crew of bandits embark on epic adventures while evil forces threaten their conquests and life as they know it. As the group is transported through time and space, the gang stumbles upon fascinating worlds of the distant past while seeking out treasure, depending on Kevin to shed light on each situation. The “Time Bandits” witness the creation of Stonehenge, see the Trojan Horse in action, escape dinosaurs in the prehistoric age, wreak havoc during medieval times, experience the Ice Age, ancient civilizations and the Harlem Renaissance, and much more along the way.

The 10-episode series will premiere globally with the first two episodes on Wednesday, July 24. For those who prefer to Binge-Watch a series in its entirety to keep the action and storyline intact instead of painfully waiting for weekly episodes like cable TV, Apple confirms that the full series will be available to subscribers on August 21, 2024.

Apple Original Films celebrates the premiere of “Fly Me to the Moon”

Today at AMC Lincoln Square 13 in New York, Apple Original Films, in partnership with Sony Pictures Entertainment, hosted the red carpet premiere for its highly anticipated feature “Fly Me to the Moon,” premiering globally in theaters on Friday, July 12, 2024.

Starring Scarlett Johansson and Channing Tatum, “Fly Me to the Moon” is a sharp, stylish comedy-drama set against the high-stakes backdrop of NASA’s historic Apollo 11 moon landing. Sparks fly in all directions as marketing maven Kelly Jones (Johansson), brought in to fix NASA’s public image, wreaks havoc on launch director Cole Davis’ (Tatum) already difficult task. When the White House deems the mission too important to fail, Jones is directed to stage a fake moon landing as backup, and the countdown truly begins.
