In December, Apple is planning to open a new store in Hefei, the capital and largest city in Anhui Province, China
In mid-April Patently Apple posted a report titled "A new Job Posting in China reveals that Apple could be opening a new Store in Hefei at some time in the future." Today, new information about this store has come to light.
According to China's IT Home, "the Housing and Urban-Rural Development Bureau of Shushan District, Hefei City, said that the construction permit for the interior decoration project of the Apple retail store in Hefei MixC was officially issued recently. The total construction scale of the project is 1,049 square meters, with a total investment of 34.5 million yuan, and the planned completion date is December 1, 2024" – if all goes well.
Hefei MixC is located at the intersection of Xiyou Road and Qianshan Road in the government district of Hefei City, adjacent to local landmarks such as Swan Lake and Olympic Sports Center.
According to a recruitment notice on Apple's official website in April this year, Apple confirmed that it will open an Apple Store retail store in Hefei, which will also be the first Apple Store retail store in Anhui (as outlined in the map below). As of now, Apple has opened 57 Apple Store retail stores in Greater China.
