Apple has filed for the "Apple Intelligence" trademark in the U.S. and Hong Kong. In the U.S. Apple's trademark covers Apple Intelligence for iOS, iPhone, iPad, computer chips and more. Apple has also filed for multiple trademarks relating to Apple Sports.
Trademark: Apple Intelligence
Apple's WWDC24 was deadly focused all-things related to "Apple Intelligence," Apple's version of Artificial Intelligence. Apple filed for the "Apple Intelligence" trademark in the U.S. on June 10, 2024, the very day it was officially introduced.
Apple filed for the trademark under application 98594016. It was filed under International Class 009 covering" Computers; computer hardware; smart phones; tablet computers; wireless communication devices for the transmission of voice, data, images, audio, video, and multimedia content; computer software; computer operating system software; computer chips."
In Hong Kong, Apple filed for "Apple Intelligence" under application 306587506. Here, Apple filed it under two International Classes 009 and 042.
Apple legal filing under 009 was very lengthily and too long for this report. They did however list far more future hardware that may take advantage of Apple Intelligence, such as "wearable computer hardware, Apple Watch, wearable activity trackers, smartglasses, HMDs (Vision Pro), televisions, television set-top boxes and more.
Classification 042 in-part includes: "Design and development of computer hardware, software, peripherals, and computer and video games; computer hardware and software consulting services; computer programming; design of computer databases; electronic data storage; cloud computing services; rental of computer hardware, software, and peripherals; providing online non-downloadable software; consultation services for developing computer systems, databases and applications; computer security and data security consultancy; data encryption services; providing computer hardware or software information online; maintenance, repair and updating of computer hardware, software, peripherals, and applications; technical support services" and more.

Apple filed for the 'Apple Sports' trademark in Hong Kong under application 306570379. The trademark was filed under classes 009 and 041 as in the U.S.
Figurative Trademark
In Hong Kong, Apple also filed for a figurative sports related trademark of a soccer field as presented below. Apple filed their figurative trademark under application 306588082. It was filed under International Class 009.
The verbiage that Apple Legal associated with Class 009 was complete overkill or lazy depending on your perspective. First off, there were 3-4 pages of entries. Secondly, Apple threw everything in but the kitchen sink by adding nonsensical items such as fingerprint examination machines, humanoid robots, charging stations for electric vehicles, thermostats, electrified fences, dog whistles and other such oddball entries with nothing in common with a soccer field logo.
It should be noted that international trademark classes that Apple files their trademarks under are important as the trademark registration will only protect those classes that have been identified in their original application. In a legal battle, the classes filed for originally could make or break a legal case.
