A new analytical report this morning reveals that the tablet market in India surged 37% in Q1 2024 totaling 1.3 million units. the tablet market experienced robust growth, driven mainly by education demand. The long-awaited tender from the state of Uttar Pradesh saw partial fulfillment, with Samsung and Acer meeting most of its demands.

Apple didn't participate in the sale of tablets to the education market in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. This allowed Acer to surge 332.3% with 21.5% market share which left Apple in the dust at 9.5% market share, down 22.7% year-over-year.
