A rumor posted today claims that Apple has held talks with China Mobile to bring Apple TV+ to China
A rumor report posted by The Information this morning claims that Apple is in talks with China Mobile on "launching Apple TV+ video streaming service in China."
The current status of the negotiations is unclear. People familiar with the matter pointed out that Apple has good reasons to reach this agreement, which will allow Apple TV+ to cover more than 200 million Chinese mobile users. If the negotiations are successful, Apple TV+ will become the only American streaming service launched in China.
Exclusive: Apple discussed making Apple TV+ available in China through China Mobile last year. If successful, it would be the only U.S. streamer available there.https://t.co/QiogyftzMX

In fact, Apple has not launched any subscription or media services in mainland China since 2017, but there are signs that the company is renewing its efforts to bring subscription services such as Apple Arcade and Fitness+ to China.
The Information also reported that Apple has reached a key agreement with Tencent to provide a number of popular applications in the Chinese market on Vision Pro, and Tim Cook has previously confirmed that Vision Pro will be launched in China later this year (IT Home Note: Vision Pro has now passed 3C certification).
The Information also mentioned that Apple is working to launch its subscription services, such as Apple TV+ and Apple Arcade, in China. However, due to China's content censorship regulations, Apple "needs to find a local partner to help operate" these services and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
Patently Apple posted a report yesterday titled " With Huawei testing a new online miniseries app in preparation of entering China's booming short drama Industry, will Apple follow suit?" Bringing Apple TV+ to China would be the perfect vehicle for a new miniseries app from Apple to reside on.
