Analyst Jeff Pu claims that Apple will mass produce two Foldable Devices earlier than expected

Analyst Jeff Pu Predicts a new 'iPhone Slim' model to replace the 'Plus' model and more

Beyond forecasting two foldable devices from Apple, analyst Jeff Pu also noted in one of his recent analytical reports that Apple will have major changes in next year's iPhone 17 lineup. It is claimed that the series of models will adopt a "renewed design", while improving the front camera and introducing new features like a smaller dynamic island and more.

Jeff Pu also said that Apple will launch a new "iPhone 17 Slim" model to replace the "Plus" model in the lineup, but this Slim model is not a continuation of the previous iPhone 12/13 mini.  The Apple iPhone 17 series lineup will offer the following displays sizes.

  • iPhone 17 : 6.1-inch screen
  • iPhone 17 Slim : 6.6-inch screen
  • iPhone 17 Pro : 6.3-inch screen
  • iPhone 17 Pro Max : 6.9-inch screen

 

In terms of design, Pu reports that the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Slim, and iPhone 17 Pro will all feature a "more sophisticated" aluminum design. At the same time, the middle frame of the iPhone 17 Pro Max will still be made of titanium alloy, and offer a similar smaller dynamic island" and be equipped with a 24-megapixel front camera.

In terms of specifications, Pu reports that the iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Slim will be powered by the A18 or A19 chip and come with 8GB of RAM, while the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max will come with the A19 Pro chip and 12GB of RAM. Referring to current models, iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus have 6GB of RAM, while iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max have 8GB of RAM.
