Next month at Google I/O, the company is expected to introduce their XR operating system that will power Samsung's XR Headset designed to take on Apple Vision Pro. The operating system will be for all XR Headset OEMs using Qualcomm's Snapdragon XR2+ Gen 2 supporting Spatial Computing in 4K.

Facebook is now attempting to challenge the Google/Qualcomm/Samsung alliance by licensing its Horizon OS to Headset OEMs like Lenovo, Asus and others, even though these companies refused to comment on Zuckerberg's statements.

According to The Verge, Meta has started licensing the operating system for its Quest headset to other hardware makers, starting with Lenovo and Asus. It’s also making a limited-run, gaming-focused Quest with Xbox.

Meta has yet to share more on the business terms of its Horizon OS license, aside from that social network tie-in and requiring the use of Qualcomm chips. “You can imagine a lightweight headset that pairs with your computer on your desk to provide the best work experience at home or anywhere you go,” CEO Mark Zuckerberg said in a video announcing the news.

Zuckerberg added “Or imagine one that’s fully focused on watching immersive entertainment like movies and videos with the highest resolution OLED screens out there.”  The Verge

Zuckerberg didn't market their headset that way prior to Apple Vision Pro. Zuckerberg is simply "copying" Apple's marketing. That's blatantly obvious to everyone but Zuckerberg.
