Content creator Brian Tong has released a 40 Minute interview video with various key Apple team members including Greg Joswiak
Brian Tong, a content creator that we've all seen on CNET at some point in time has just posted a video interview riding around in a golf cart on Apple's new campus. Tong interviewed Kainann Drance, VP, iPhone Product Marketing who has been with the company 16 years; Alok Desphande in Camera Software Engineering; Anand Shimpi, Hardware Technologies; Della Huff, Photos and Camera Product Marketing; and Greg "Joz" Joswiak, SVP Worldwide Marketing. All of Tong's interviews took place while driving around Apple Campus in a golf cart rigged with three iPhones taking video. It was a very relaxed and interesting mode of interviewing people.
The star of the show as Joswiak, who has been with Apple 38 years. He reminisced about the original launch of the iPhone back in 2007 and how he and his teammates were absolutely blown away at the sight of fans lining up at 6 p.m. to get their hands on the first iPhones. This was the start of a grand tradition by the Apple community. It's a tradition that has never been duplicated by any competitors fan base.
Joswiak spent a lot of time hyping up the iPhone's camera. He noted that "our secret sauce, especially in video has been our Apple Silicon. We also do our own image signal processors." Joswiak added "we don't look at other smartphones as the competition, we look at professional video cameras as really the benchmark that we're up against. How do we create cameras as good as that and I think we did that with the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max. The video is absolutely spectacular."
He later touched on Spatial Video which really got Tang excited, stating that he wished this feature was available last year when he got married. Check out the video below for more.
