BOE is reportedly the Leading Contender for OLED displays for the 2025 iPhone SE
According to ZDNet Korea, BOE took the lead in becoming the screen supplier for Apple’s iPhone SE 4. Samsung Display withdrew from negotiations in mid-March due to price issues. Samsung Display offered a price of $30 per display and Apple wanted to pay $25.
Based on existing information, iPhone SE 4 is expected to be released in 2025, using a 6.1-inch OLED display of the same size as the iPhone 13/14 standard version, with shipments of up to 15 million units.
Apple also hopes to reduce the iPhone supply chain's dependence on Samsung Display. While Tianma is trying to break into Apple's supply chain, they've yet to pass Apple's quality requirements at the moment.
