Yesterday, Patently Apple posted a report titled "Contrary to Rumor Mill Reports, Apple's new iPad Pro is reportedly set to Launch in May." The report noted Mark Gurman stating that "The screens in the latest models also require complex new manufacturing techniques, which have contributed to the delay."

Today, in a new supply chain report from Korean media hankooki we learn that Samsung Display has been delivering poor yields of the new OLED display panels used in the new 11-inch iPad Pro. LG Display has stepped to supply this panel this month, but it delayed Apple's schedule.

According to previous reports from IT House, the Apple OLED iPad Pro to be released this year will use a tandem OLED structure panel, including 11-inch and 13-inch versions, and is expected to be released in early May.

Korean media hankooki quoted sources as saying that Samsung is currently unable to meet the demand for 11-inch panels due to yield issues, so LG has received some order transfers.
