Samsung has decided to Follow Apple's Design Shift to Titanium for their Top End next-gen Galaxy S24 Models

With Apple shifting to the use of a Titanium frame for the iPhone 15 Pro line-up, Samsung has decided that their next-gen top-end Galaxy S24 models will use a frame case made in-part with titanium.

We say in-part because Chinese company Solomon processes the titanium alloy and will attach it to the backside of an aluminum case.

The Ultra model in the series will be the first to adopt the titanium material and the company plans to expand the application depending on reception.

The South Korean tech giant is in the late stages of securing the yield rate for the titanium frame cases. Samsung was working with its multiple Chinese case suppliers as well as its staff at its assembly plant in Vietnam, they said.

The key will be the yield rate for the cases as a low yield will increase the price of the case by four to five times, they said. Samsung’s aluminum cases used in premium phones currently cost less than US$20. For more on this, read the full report from The Elec.
