Apple TV+ has released the Trailer for 'Flora and Son,' a Film that Apple outbid Amazon's Prime for earlier this year
In January Patent Apple posted a report titled "In a Battle with Amazon's Prime, Apple Original Films Landed a new film titled 'Flora and Son' at the Sundance Film Festival and more." The report also noted that the deal for Flora and Son gives Apple another potential awards-season contender for next season to go along with the epic Killers of the Flower Moon.
Today Apple released the trailer for Flora and Son that will be debuting in select theaters on September 22 and on Apple TV+ on September 29.
The story is about single mom Flora (Eve Hewson) who is at a loss about what to do with her rebellious teenage son, Max (Orén Kinlan). Encouraged by the police to find Max a hobby, Flora tries to occupy him with a beat-up acoustic guitar. With the help of a washed-up LA musician (Joseph Gordon-Levitt), Flora and Max discover the transformative power of music. From the musical mind of John Carney, "Flora and Son" explores the bond between a mother and son on a journey toward a new harmony.
The lead character in Flora and Son played by Eve Hewson was also part of the cast of the Apple TV+ series 'Bad Sisters," that was awarded a BAFTA Television Award for best drama back in May.
