While Sony will supply the Higher-End Internal Displays for the Apple Vision Pro, LG will provide the headset's External Display
In Q1 in Western Europe, Apple overtook Dell for third spot and grew the highest of all PC Makers while continuing to the lead the tablet market

At Present, Sony is only able to produce a maximum of 200,000 OLEDoS displays or 100,000 sets per quarter for the Apple Vision Pro

This morning Patently Apple posted a report titled "While Sony will supply the Higher-End Internal Displays for the Apple Vision Pro, LG will provide the headset's External Display."

We're now learning that Sony only has the capacity of producing 900,000 units annually – or 450,000 sets for the Apple Vision Pro. So it's not just the price of the Apple Vision Pro that will be a barrier to market, it's also Sony's inability to produce more displays on a quarterly basis for 2024.

The Elec reports that "While there are other manufacturers of OLEDoS such as China’s SeeYa Technology, it is unlikely that Apple will use other suppliers at the current time besides Sony, a long-time supplier of various components."

Patently Apple's morning report noted that both LG and Samsung would be suppliers of OLEDoS displays for Apple's second generation headset. Samsung is likely to be using OLEDoS technology that it has acquired from U.S. based eMagin.
