The Apple TV+ Series 'Bad Sisters' Landed Britain's BAFTA Television Award for Best Drama and Best Supporting Actress and more

On May 8, Patently Apple posted a report titled "Last Night Apple's Dark Comedic Thriller 'Bad Sisters' won Four awards at the 20th Annual Irish Film and Television Awards." Today we're learning that Apple TV+ scored major category wins at the 2023 BAFTA (British Academy of Film and Television Arts) Television Awards with honors for Best Drama Series for globally acclaimed hit "Bad Sisters," alongside a Best Supporting win for series star Anne-Marie Duff. The BAFTA Television Awards recognize the best British programs, performances and productions each year. The event was held last night (Sunday May 14).

On Saturday May 13, Apple TV+ held a BAFTA TV Brunch. Apple TV+ celebrated excellence in entertainment and storytelling with its star-studded BAFTA Brunch event, held today at 180 The Strand ahead of this Sunday's 2023 British Academy Television Awards. The event marks the second Apple TV+ BAFTA Brunch, following the gathering held earlier in February to honor BAFTA Film Award honorees, and brought together nominees from award-winning, widely celebrated Apple Original series including “Bad Sisters,” “Slow Horses” and “Pachinko,” as well as stars from “Ted Lasso,” “Foundation,” “High Desert” and many more.
