Although the Chinese New Year 2023 is celebrated on January 22, the JD.com e-commerce company, also known as 'Jingdong' has begun their massive Apple product sale for the holidays. The sale began at 8 p.m. December 29, which is today in China.

The Jingdong Apple New Year’s Day promotion is discounting the iPhone 14 by $129 (or 900 yuan) and discounting the iPhone 14 Plus by $143 (or 1000 yuan).

I'm sure that Apple is hoping for blowout sales to help their first quarter of the year (calendar Q4) that will get dinged by the lockdowns that took place at Foxconn's Zhengzhou iPhone plant.
