As a leader in tough cover glass for mobile devices, Apple partner Corning pushes boundaries. As mobile devices become more ubiquitous, so too are the chances of dropping them on rougher surfaces like concrete and asphalt. And since phones are getting bigger and heavier, our scientists knew it was time to get tougher on testing. Introducing Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2, built from the ground up. Apple is likely to introduce this in future iPhones.
To imitate real-word drops, Corning established a series of impacting testing vehicles, as presented below. For the most part, the videos have little to no audio. Watch the bottom of the video screen for test results in each video.
