Apple and KOSS settled their Lawsuits over the weekend prior to the Trial that was set to start today
In late July 2020 Patently Apple posted a legal report titled “Koss, an American Pioneer in Headphones, has filed a Five-Count Patent Infringement Lawsuit against Apple.” Then in early August 2020, we posted a follow-up report titled “Apple Files a Six-Count Countersuit against Koss Corporation for Breach of Contract and more.”
We’re learning today that in a court filing Saturday, Apple Inc agreed to settle a lawsuit brought Koss Corp over Apple's AirPods and Beats headphones.
The trial was set to begin today, the companies told the Waco, Texas federal court that they had resolved allegations that Apple infringed Koss' wireless-headphone patents.
U.S. District Judge Alan Albright dismissed the case with prejudice the same day, which means it cannot be refiled. For more, read the full Reuters report.
