Just prior to WWDC22 kicking off, a new report reveals that the FDA has approved a possible new Apple Watch health feature. The FDA form presented below shows that the approval came this past Friday for an “Atrial Fibrillation History Feature”

The software relates to Photoplethysmograph analysis software for over the counter use. Apple filed for this feature back in December 2021.

The discovery was shared today by Niel Smith of “MyHealthyApple.com.” Whether this feature will be a part of today’s announcements or a future date is unknown at this time.
