Apple won 68 Patents today covering Suspension Systems for an Apple vehicle, Ultrasonic Sensors, AirPods Max design patents and more
The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office officially published a series of X-Number newly granted patents for Apple Inc. today. In this particular report we briefly cover possible suspension systems for Apple’s future vehicles, ultrasonic sensors, the Magic Keyboard with USB-C charging Port along with, a few design patents covering AirPods Max and more. And as always, we wrap up this week's granted patent report with our traditional listing of the remaining granted patents that were issued to Apple today.
Project Titan: Suspension Systems
Apple has been granted yet another patent for their autonomous electric vehicle project for “Suspension Systems.” According to Apple, the vehicle has a vehicle body, a first wheel assembly that includes a first wheel hub, and a second wheel assembly that includes a second wheel hub. The suspension system includes a crossbar that is pivotally connected to the first wheel hub of the first wheel assembly and is pivotally connected to the second wheel hub of the second wheel assembly.
The suspension system also includes a first active suspension actuator that is located near the first wheel assembly, is connected to the vehicle body, is connected to the crossbar, and supports the vehicle body with respect to the crossbar. The suspension system also includes a second active suspension actuator that is located near the second wheel assembly, is connected to the vehicle body, is connected to the crossbar, and supports the vehicle body with respect to the crossbar.

Magic Keyboard’s Circular Connector in Hinge
Patently Apple covered Apple’s patent application titled “Circular connector in integrated in hinge” back in April 2021. Today Apple was granted patent 11,349,249 for this invention that you could review in full here.

Other Mildly Interesting Patents issued Today
Other mildly interesting granted patents issued today include one for “Ultrasonic Sensors” for Apple’s future mixed reality headset (HMD). The ultrasonic sensors are used to assist exterior cameras see things that cameras usually have difficulty in detecting, such as glass or transparent walls, doors and windows.
