#1: Hamish Linklater, Lili Taylor to Play Abraham and Mary Lincoln in the Apple TV+ "Manhunt" Series

In January, Patently Apple posted a report titled "Apple TV+ Orders a Limited Series titled "Manhunt" which covers the events leading up to President Lincoln's Assassination and more." Today, The Hollywood Reporter is claiming that Apple TV+’s limited series about the hunt for Abraham Lincoln’s assassin has cast the 16th president. Hamish Linklater (Gaslit, Netflix’s Midnight Mass) will play Abraham Lincoln in Manhunt, about the search for John Wilkes Booth after he shot Lincoln. Lili Taylor will play the first lady, Mary Lincoln.

Linklater and Taylor are among seven actors boarding the series; Brandon Flynn, Betty Gabriel, Will Harrison, Damian O’Hare and Patton Oswalt have also been cast. They join the previously cast Tobias Menzies, Anthony Boyle, Lovie Simone and Matt Walsh.

Deadline adds that Apple is also adding several other cast members to round out the assemble that includes Brandon Flynn, Betty Gabriel, Will Harrison, Damian O'Hare, and Patton Oswalt

Manhunt is based on James Swanson’s bestselling book Manhunt: The 12-Day Chase for Lincoln’s Killer. Described as part historical fiction and part conspiracy thriller, the series will center on the aftermath of America’s first presidential assassination and the fight to preserve and protect the ideals that were the foundation of Lincoln’s Reconstruction plans — issues that reverberate into the present day.

#2: The Apple TV+ Series "The New Look" adds new Cast Members

In February, Patently Apple posted a report titled "Apple TV+ lands a Thriller Series titled 'The New Look,' about how Christian Dior overtook Coco Chanel's Fashion Reign." Today, Variety is reporting that Maisie Williams has joined the upcoming Apple TV+ drama series "The New Look." Williams is best known for playing Arya Stark in the megahit HBO series "Game of Thrones."

Williams joins previously announced series leads Ben Mendelsohn and Juliette Binoche in the series. “The New Look” is set against the World War II Nazi Occupation of Paris when Coco Chanel’s (Binoche) reign as the world’s most famous fashion designer ends and Christian Dior (Mendelsohn) rises helping return spirit and life to the world with his ground-breaking, iconic brand.

Williams will play the role of Catherine Dior, Christian’s younger sister and Medal of Honor winner for Courage in the cause of Freedom. For more, read the full report by Variety.

#3: Apple TV+ debuts trailer for new live-action animated hybrid kids and family series "Lovely Little Farm"

Apple TV+ today shared the trailer for the new live-action animated hybrid kids and family series “Lovely Little Farm” from Darrall Macqueen, the London-based BAFTA Award-winning producer of hit series “Topsy & Tim” and “Teletubbies,” ahead of the Friday, June 10 global premiere.

“Lovely Little Farm” follows sisters Jill and Jacky as they love and nurture all the animals on their farm nestled in lavender fields. Being a young farmer isn’t easy, but every day brings these sisters adventure and a chance to grow. The live-action animated hybrid uses the latest computer-generated technology, working with Industrial Light and Magic, to bring the series to life.
