Last month Apple's CEO was one of the keynote speakers at the Global Privacy Summit 2022 held in Lisbon, Spain. Tim Cook made his case against sideloading being a major concern and more so now that governments are blindly ruling in favor of sideloading for all the wrong reasons. Cook further noted that there were two coinciding realities. "One where technology unlocks humanity's full creative potential and ushers in a new era of possibility. The other, where technology is exploited to rob humanity of that which is foundational, our privacy itself."

Today, Apple released their latest ad titled "Privacy on iPhone: Data Auction" promoting iPhone having privacy features like App Tracking Transparency and Mail Privacy Protection that help you control who sees your data and who doesn’t.

While on the topic of privacy, today Elle's online magazine interviewed Apple's chief privacy officer, Jane Horvath. At one point in the interview, Horvath stated: "I think people would be quite surprised by the amount of data that exists out there in the B2B world about them. That’s something that we’re very much trying to bring to the attention of our customers, not because we want them to make a choice one way or the other, but because we actually want them to be aware of it."
