On Thursday Patently Apple posted a report and sneak peek at the new Apple Al Maryah Island Store with its dramatic waterfront design that was to open Friday. Yesterday Apple Al Maryah Island opened as scheduled serving as Apple’s newest store in the United Arab Emirates. The new space delivers the best of Apple with shoreline views amid Abu Dhabi’s prestigious financial district. Below are a series of photos from opening day.

Guests entering through The Galleria Al Maryah Island walk through a mirrored tunnel, below a 72-foot-long foil ceiling.

The image below illustrates a night shot of the promenade from outside with two ramps paved with Absolute Black granite stone cut through the cascading water and guide customers seamlessly into the store.
