Apple won 43 patents today covering possible future MagSafe accessories that include an iPhone case with built-in AirPods Charger+
The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office officially published a series of 43 newly granted patents for Apple Inc. today. In this particular report we mainly cover a patent that relates to folios that include a case and a cover that can pivot relative to the receptacle. The case provides the accessory device with a space or volume to carry the electronic device, while the cover carries a power supply, or battery, and can pivot to cover the receptacle. In addition, we wrap up this week's granted patent report with our traditional listing of the remaining granted patents that were issued to Apple today.
Apple's granted patent, in one aspect, covers an accessory device for use with an electronic device such as an iPhone or iPad. The accessory device may include a receptacle having a size and shape to receive the electronic device. The accessory device may further include a cover coupled to the receptacle by a hinge that allows the cover to pivot with respect to the receptacle. The accessory device may further include a power supply carried by the cover. The power supply can be electrically coupled with the electronic device when the electronic device is retained in the receptacle.
Apple's patent FIG. 1 below illustrates a front isometric view of an embodiment of an accessory device #100, showing the accessory device in an open position. More importantly, the accessory device includes a power supply (#122) with rechargeable battery. The case also includes contacts #128 on a bottom wall of the accessory that would match those on a future iPhone.

Apple's Patent FIG. 4 below illustrates a MagSafe accessory attached to the back of an iPhone that provides a power supply (#186) with an inductive charging module (#192); Patent FIGS. 2 and 5 illustrate a power supply covering the total back of an iPhone and within a folio on the flap opposite the iPhone.
In Apple's patent FIG. 7 below we see the power supply on the outside of folio and FIG. 11 include both a power supply and an inductive charging module.
Apple's patent FIGS. 13 and 14 below Apple illustrates two ways that a MagSafe accessory could accommodate AirPods.
And lastly, Apple's patent FIGS. 15 and 16 below illustrate triple MagSafe Power Supply strips added to the inside of a future Smart iPad cover.
