On November 19, Patently Apple posted a report titled "UBI Research Claims that Chinese Display Maker BOE will overtake LG Displays as Apple's number two supplier by 2023." Today, a new Korean report claims that BOE will supply Apple iPhone OLED panels in 2022 approximately three times as many as in 2021, and will account for about 20% of the overall iPhone OLED panel supply chain, closely following the status of Korean factories.

At the end of last year, BOE entered the Apple panel supply chain for the iPhone 12 series for the first time . However, the products were only used for Apple's relatively inexpensive models and refurbished and refurbished iPhones.

In October of this year, it was reported that Apple was in contact with BOE to develop a high-end iPhone 13 display. According to relevant media reports, as BOE's supply of Apple mobile phone panels increases sharply, among the three companies that have received iPhone13 panel orders, the share of Samsung and LG displays will decrease.
