Update 11:05 a.m. PST: Apple removes the word homeOS from Job Posting

Days before Apple's WWDC21 event kicks off, a job posting posted on May 24, 2021 has surfaced that reveals a possible new OS that could emerge called 'homeOS'. The job posting states: "You’ll get to work with system engineers across Apple, learning the inner-workings of iOS, watchOS, tvOS and homeOS, and optimizing your code for performance in ways only Apple can. Come join our team and make a real difference for music lovers worldwide."

Today on Google, "iOS – Home – Apple' leads you to HomeKit and the Home app. HomeKit is a framework which is a broad term that describes many types of subsystem and even an operating system. With homeOS being referenced internally and now a job posting, the question becomes, will Apple officially introduce homeOS at WWDC21? We'll know in five days time.
