Apple has been sued by Traxcell Technologies for patent infringement. The lawsuit describes in detail that Apple devices that support the Apple Maps online navigation service together with the Apple Maps server-side or cloud infrastructure needed to provide the service, constitute the "Accused System."

 

Apple has allegedly infringed on the two patents listed below owned by Traxcell Technologies: 

 

Patent 9,918,196 titled: "Internet queried directional navigation system with mobile and fixed originating location determination."

 

Patent 9,549,388 titled: "Mobile wireless device providing off-line and on-line geographic navigation information."
