On January 02, Patently Apple posted an IP report titled "Apple has Won 5 Design Patents presented in photo & line art forms covering the iPad Pro & Magic Keyboard Combination." On Friday, the Hong Kong Patent Office granted Apple 14 design patents covering Apple's 'Magic Keyboard' and 2 more for the iPad connected to the Magic Keyboard covered in over 100 images.  In other Intellectual Property news this week, our report covers the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office publishing two key Apple trademarks.

Trademark for Designed by Apple in California

This week the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office published two key Apple trademarks. The first was for the figurative trademark 'Designed by Apple in California,' which was also published in Hong Kong back in November 2020.  The second U.S. trademark published was for the Registered Trademark (RTM) for 'macOS Big Sur.'

Apple's trademark application for 'Designed by Apple in California' was filed under International Class 009 covering "Computer software for software development."

Apple's registered trademark for macOS Big Sur was filed under International Class 009 covering "Downloadable computer operating software."
