Yesterday Patently Apple posted a report titled "Apple Files for new Figurative Trademarks Covering 'WidgetKit' & more. Today three more Figurative trademark applications from Apple were filed in Hong Kong.

Apple filed their figurative trademark under International Class 009 which generally covers all manner of Apple hardware current and future like iPhones and smartglasses. All three of Apple's figurative trademark filings provide an overkill list of entries are almost common in Hong Kong filings. The class usually covers boiler plate entries such as fire extinguishers, garage door openers and dog whistles, none of which Apple will ever be sold under the Apple logo. Instead of repeating it under each of the trademark filings above, we're presenting it to you below as a single example of Apple's entries for International Class 009 coverage.
It should be noted that International trademark classes that Apple files their trademarks under are important as the trademark registration will only protect those classes that have been identified in their original application. In a legal battle, the classes filed for originally could make or break a legal case.
