In mid-July Patently Apple posted a report titled "Apple has signed up Green Door Pictures and Founder Idris Elba to produce Global Series that highlight Diversity." Green Door Pictures production company signed a first-look deal with the Apple.

Today Idris Elba is back with Apple TV+ to produce and star in a a new romantic spy thriller feature film.  The Hollywood Reporter claims that "the film that was acquired by Apple after a bidding war. The film will be shot iin Africa with plot details under wraps.

Along with Elba is Simon Kinberg, a screenwriter, film producer, and television producer. He is best known for his work on the X-Men film franchise, and has also written such films as Mr. & Mrs. Smith and Sherlock Holmes.

Along with Elba and Kinberg, Audrey Chon, president of Kinberg’s Genre Films, will produce.
