Apple has been Granted 15 new Design Patents covering Apple Watch & HomeKit User Interfaces + 2 U.S. Registered Trademarks
The Hong Kong Patent Office has granted Apple a series of 15 new design patents. Five of the designs relate to Apple Watch User Interfaces while the remaining relate to various HomeKit User Interfaces. All of the designs are noted as being protected under Locarno Classification 14 – 04 which covers "Screen Displays and Icons." Our report also covers Apple being granted two Registered Trademark certificates by the U.S. Trademark Office.
Unlike "patent applications" that provide the public with an abstract, summary and details of an invention, design patents published around the world are limited to only providing the public with design patent figures. No additional specifics of the design are made available.
