On Friday the Hong Kong Patent Office granted Apple 12 design patents that translates to 45 characters in distinct sets for Octopus, Mouse and Cow. The characters were originally released with iOS 13. Our report conveniently presents three Animoji character sets containing multiple patents.

Unlike "patent applications" that provide the public with an abstract, summary and details of an invention, design patents published around the world are limited to only providing the public with design patent figures. No additional specifics of the design are made available.
