Warren Buffett Lavished Apple with Praise in CNBC interview and Admitted that he Should have Appreciated it Earlier
On Saturday Patently Apple posted a report titled "Warren Buffett Released his Annual Letter to Shareholders this morning wherein he reveals Berkshire Hathaway's official Stake in Apple." Today we learned about Buffett's admiration of Apple in a four minute interview with CNBC’s Becky Quick during a "Squawk Box" interview earlier today.
Warren Buffett, one of Apple's largest shareholders, finally owns one of the company's most popular products, an iPhone 11.
The billionaire investor revealed Monday that he recently traded in his flip phone for an iPhone. The Berkshire Hathaway CEO told CNBC that his old Samsung phone is "permanently gone." He teased that he might crush his old phone in Berkshire Hathaway's movie of the upcoming annual meeting, and show me cozying up to my new smartphone (the iPhone 11).
Buffett said earlier Monday that Apple is "probably the best business I know in the world." Berkshire owns roughly 5.5% of Apple.
Then In around the 1:28 mark of the interview Buffett added: Apple is "an incredible company and I should have appreciated it earlier."
