Oscar Winner Taika Waititi Railed Against Apple's MacBook Keyboard last night saying that they're "impossible to write on"
Although Apple offered a free fix for a wide range of MacBooks and the new MacBook Pro 16" offers the more stable Magic Keyboard scissor mechanism design, Taika Waititi, winner of an Oscar for Jojo Rabbit last night, decided to rail against Apple's MacBook keyboard (butterfly key type) and even mentioned that he suffered an injury from using the keyboard.
when a reporter asked him what writers should be asking for from producers, he replied: "Apple needs to fix those keyboards. They are impossible to write on. They've gotten worse. Makes me want to go back to PCs. The "bounce back" on PCs is way better."

Many tech writers had complained about the butterfly keyboards for years and so it's not out of place to hear from a frustrated, angry screenplay writer. And yet, maybe it's the cynic in me, but the timing of it and his whole scripted message sounded more like a coming ad for a PC notebook.
While only time will tell if Waititi's commentary was genuine or not, in the short term, it was definitely a ding on Apple's reputation for taking so long to address the issue.
