While Apple fans miss Apple's Industrial Designer Sir Jonathan Ive and wait to hear about some the great work he'll be doing for Apple and other companies in the future under his company name "LoveFrom," the first big news from Ive is that he donated £100,000 to a tree-planting campaign run by the Daily Mail in the U.K.

The incredible six-figure donation will fund 1,000 orchards to be planted in 1,000 schools across Britain – a fitting legacy from a British designer whose work has fuelled Apple’s huge success. Our campaign, organised with The Tree Council has had a phenomenally successful week.

I've told the Daily Mail: "I love sitting in their shade. One of the ideas that was fundamental to Apple Park’s design was creating acres of parkland and orchards. Being able to contribute to a project so close to my heart is fabulous."

Jonathan Ive's wife Heather Pegg Ive attended the event on Sunday as presented in the Daily Mail's Photo below.
