It's being reported today that Apple has announced the second feature that will be produced under its pact with indie studio A24 — an adaptation of young adult novel titled "The Sky Is Everywhere."
The story centers on American high school girl Lennie Walker, as she works through the loss of her sister and accidentally falls in love.
The Sky Is Everywhere will fall under the multiyear agreement that the tech giant inked with the New York-based A24, which was announced in November 2018. Under the pact, the studio behind Moonlight will produce a slate of multiple films for Apple.
In November 2018 Patently Apple posted a report titled "Apple Signs Multiyear Deal with Film Studio A24 who Created Oscar Winner Moonlight, The Children's Act and more."
Last month Patently Apple posted a report titled "Apple is Seeking a Theatrical Release Deal for its Original Movies prior to Airing them on Apple TV+." Whether "The Sky is Everywhere" will be one of the first films Apple hopes to get in theaters first is unknown at this time.
