Europe: 'Apple Daily Cash' & 'Daily Cash' Trademark Applications
Apple filed their trademarks specifically under International Classes 09, 35 and 36. Trademark classes are important because the trademark registration will only protect Apple's trademark(s) in the classes that have been identified in their application.
Apple's full coverage within each International Class wasn't made available to the public. When these trademark applications surface in the U.S. or Hong Kong we'll update this report if there's something very specific worth noting.
Until such time, the basics of the classes Apple has chosen to cover their trademarks include the following:
Class 09 (Goods): electronic device hardware, smartphones, notebooks, smartwatches, smartglasses, wearables, automatic teller machines, invoicing machines, AI, computer software and more.
Class 35 (Services): Advertising; business management; business administration; office functions.
Class 36 (Services): Insurance; financial affairs; monetary affairs; Banking; Bank services; real estate affairs.
Update Sept. 9, 2019 4:00 a.m. PST: Apple's U.S. trademark for 'Daily Cash' was published on Sept. 9th though actually received by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office on Sept. 4th. Apple filed their trademark under International Class 36 alone with different verbiage than their Hong Kong filing as follows:
""Credit card transaction processing services; financial services, namely, providing cash for credit card use as part of a customer loyalty program."
