Yesterday we reported that Apple's FaceID sensor supplier AMS provided an upbeat Outlook for Q3 and today it's being reported that LG Innotek succeeded in making an early turnaround despite slow market by increasing sales of differentiated products. It is expected that its performance will be even greater in the third quarter when it is expected to see effects from supplying its products to Apple.

The Korean report further noted that "It is likely that LG Innotek will be able to continue this positive trend during the third quarter. Its performance is likely to jump greatly as it mass-produces triple-cameras on full-scale for Appleā€™s new iPhone."

Bloomberg reported in late January that Apple would adopt a triple camera in their highest end iPhone later this year.

The configuration of the triple-camera shown in the LG Innotek photo (our cover graphic) would seem to contradict the configuration of the ugly blob camera design seen in rumor iPhone photos. One could only hope that the iPhone camera design would have a cleaner line, but only time will tell.

Park Kang-ho who is a researcher from Daishin Securities stated for the report that "LG Innotek is planning to supply its triple-cameras for two new Smartphone models starting from the third quarter. It is estimated that its operating profit will greatly exceed estimations made by stock firms when it is based on high market shares, high average supply price, and stable yields."
