Apple was Granted Dozens of Design Patents in Hong Kong covering Walkie-Talkie, Furniture, Augmented Reality & more
Over the last month or so the Hong Kong Patent Office has been busy granted Apple close to 200 design patents. Just on Friday Apple was granted 24 design patents and 21 images. Our report covers four themes including Augmented Reality, Walkie-Talkie and more.
Unlike "patent applications" that provide the public with an abstract, summary and details of an invention, design patents published around the world are limited to only providing the public with design patent figures. No additional specifics of the design are made available.
3 Design Patents: Retail Counter
The Hong Kong Patent Office published three design patents for a 'Retail Counter' on Friday under numbers 1900038.1M001 to .1M003. The most detailed of the three Retail Counter design patents is presented below. The design patent was filed under Locarno Class 20-02 for "Display stand" or unit. It's unknown at this time if the retail counter is for their Apple Stores or for partnering store-in-store locations like Best Buy.
