Apple has Hired their Third Tesla Engineering Executive this Year
This year alone 18 Project Titan patents have been published by the U.S. Patent Office which is quite aggressive. The project is most certainly alive and well as they've also hired Steve MacManus earlier this month, the third Tesla engineering executive to join Apple in the last year.
MacManus was a Tesla Vice President of Engineering is now with Apple with a simple title of Senior Director.
He worked at Tesla for four years and previously worked at Aston Martin Lagonda, Bently Motors and Jaguar & Land Rover. He spent about a decade in body interior and exterior trim and hardware including seating and restraints.
It's unknown at this time what vehicle experience Apple hired him for.
Bloomberg noted that "Apple also brought in former Tesla drive systems vice president Michael Schwekutsch in March and former chief vehicle engineer Doug Field last August. Apple and Tesla have been hiring each others’ engineers for years, sometimes creating tension."
