Apple Sued for Fire Damage to a Rental Property that took the Life of its owner back in February
In February Patently Apple posted a report titled "Apple sued over Reportedly Defective iPad causing Fire leading to Owner's Demise." Julia Ireland Meo, whose husband died from injuries caused by a fire that started in the kitchen of their apartment reportedly due to a defective iPad in connection to a "batter pack." Julia Ireland Meo sued Apple as Administrator ad Prosequendum, by and through her undersigned counsel.
Yesterday Union Management (through its subrogating insurance company Greater New York Mutual Insurance Company) filed a lawsuit against Apple for the damages sustained in a fire to the rental property that took the life of resident "Bradley Ireland."
Below is a copy of the civil action lawsuit filed in the District Court in New Jersey sometime yesterday.
