The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office officially published a series of 54 newly granted patents for Apple Inc. today. In this particular report we briefly cover a single granted patent that takes Animojis to the next level by allowing a user to replace their head and face with an Animoji character while the user's body and movements are naturally from the user. Who says you can't stay young forever?

Granted Patent: Creative Camera

Apple's newly granted patent covers their invention relating to computer user interfaces, and more specifically to techniques for displaying visual effects.

In Patent FIG. 6F below the user chooses the robot Animoji head and in 6H the TrueDepth camera (the creative camera) will advise the user to keep their head within a frame. Next-Gen Animojis will allow the user to keep their own bodies while presenting an Animoji face.

Apple further notes for FIG. 6H, that if the device #600 (iPhone X family model) detects that the user's head moves beyond the field-of-view of camera #602, the iPhone will provide a prompt #638 containing representation #640 of the selected robot avatar (Animoji) and message #642 instructing the user to reposition their head in the field-of-view of the camera.  

The Animoji will take on the user's expressions like it does today. Apple's patent FIG. 6AD shows the user will be able to add stickers to the Animoji and in patent FIG. 8W we're able to see that the user will be able to keep their head in the frame and scroll within the Animoji box to different Animoji until you find the one that fits your mood.

Users will be able to record a message while in character and email or text it to friends and family.
