The U.S. Patent Office earlier this month posted a patent application from Samsung that revealed a new kind of protective case that that encapsulates a possible future Galaxy smartphone. Yet in a way, it's the phone that's just as unique. The phone will provide illuminated icons on all 4 sides in addition to its glass back.  The protective case offers a unique 'touch' feature. Users will be able to touch the icons on all four sides of the phone through the protective case and activate them without ever actually touching the phone itself.  For more on this, check out the full Patently Mobile report here.
