Apple Wins their Eighth and Ninth AirPods Chargeable Case Patents
The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office officially published a series of 56 newly granted patents for Apple Inc. today. In this particular report we cover Apple's eighth and ninth granted patents for the AirPods rechargeable case (01 covering 5 patents, 02 and 03).
Apple's patent FIG. 2 above illustrates a simplified perspective view of an earbud case; FIG. 7 is a simplified block diagram depicting various components of an earbud case; and FIG. 8C illustrates different positional placements of earbud cases according to the present disclosure on charging pad / AirPower.

Apple's ninth granted patent was also published today under number 10,212,506 titled "Case with Magnetic Over-Center Mechanism."

Beyond AirPower for the home, Apple has patented wireless reverse charging that we covered in a report posted just yesterday, that will allow users to recharge their Apple Watch, iPhone and iPad on the closed lid of a future MacBook Pro when on the go. A recent rumor claims Apple will introduce this patented concept for the 2019 iPhone.
