The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office has Granted Apple Four new Registered Trademark Certificates for the 'Clips' Icon & more

Yesterday, the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office granted Apple four trademark certificates (RTMs) covering the 'Clips' icon, the 'Books' icon and more. The 'Books' icon is supporting the iOS 12 icon prior to the release of new iPhones that officially kills-off "iBooks."

 

Apple's 'Clips' Icon is now a Registered Trademark

 

Apple's 'Clips' is a mobile video editing software application created by Apple Inc. It was released on the iOS App Store on April 6, 2017. Yesterday the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office granted Apple Registered Trademark Certificate #5,528,209 for the Clips icon as presented below.

Apple filed the 'Clips' icon trademark under International Class 09 covering the following: "computer software for use in creating, editing, importing, exporting, and sharing video and multimedia content, adding animation, graphics, music, sound effects, and special effects to video and multimedia content, and posting video and multimedia content to websites and social media platforms."

 

Apple's 'Books' Icon is now a Registered Trademark

 

Apple has changed iBooks to just 'Books' for iOS 12 and the icon representing that was granted a Registered Trademark (RTM) certificate yesterday as noted in the graphic below.

Apple filed their trademark under class 09 covering the following: "computer software for use in reading, searching, browsing, reviewing, sampling, playing, listening, purchasing, downloading, storing, previewing, and organizing electronic publications and audio books; data synchronization computer software."

Apple's 'CareKit' Icon is now a Registered Trademark

 

The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office granted Apple two Certificates for their CareKit icon being registered.

 

The first Registered Trademark (RTM) for CareKit under number 5,530,976 was filed under International Class 42 covering the following: "design and development of computer software; computer software consulting services; consultation services for developing computer systems, databases and applications; providing information in the field of computer software development online."

The second RTM 5,530,974 for CareKit was filed under International Class 09 which covers the following: "computer software used in developing other software applications; application development software."
