Apple Addresses iDevice Addiction with Promised App Called 'Screen Time' that lets Parents Set Time Allowances & more
Yesterday Patently Apple posted a report covering addiction to devices almost doubling in the last 3 years and that big Apple shareholders wanted Apple to seriously address this issue for the iPhone. Today during Apple's WWDC keynote they introduced a series of added parental controls for iDevices. The new App is called 'Screen Time.'
iOS 12: Screen Time
Apple notes that "Apps help us do so many extraordinary things that we can sometimes lose track of how much we use them. Screen Time is a new feature that helps give you a better understanding of the time you and your kids spend using apps, visiting websites, and on your devices overall. So you can make the most of how you choose to spend time on your iPhone or iPad.'
You could check this part of today's keynote below at the 47:43 mark to hear Craig Federighi explain it in full.
