Apple's Siri Team Publishes Machine Learning Journal Issue #9 Titled 'Personalized Hey Siri'
Until today, Apple's last entry into their Machine Learning journal was in December or four months ago. Today Apple's Siri Team published Volume 1, Issue 9 titled "Personalized Hey Siri." The new issue covers Motivating Personalization; Speaker Recognition; User Enrollment; System Overview; Improving the Speaker Transform; Evaluation; and Looking Ahead. In related news, the NY Times reported that Apple hired John Giannandrea, Google's AI Chief to lead Apple' work on A.I. related to Siri. The report further noted that "Apple said on Tuesday that Mr. Giannandrea will run Apple's 'machine learning and A.I. strategy,'" and become one of 16 executives who report directly to Apple's chief executive, Timothy D. Cook."
