Apple has Picked Up their Third Content Series in the Last Week

It's being report that in a competitive situation, Apple has landed the hot TV package titled 'See' with a straight-to-series order. An epic, world-building drama set in the future, the project is written by Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight and directed by Francis Lawrence (The Hunger Games: Catching Fire and Mockingjay Parts 1 & 2). It comes from the recently launched scripted drama venture between Peter Chernin's Chernin Entertainment and Endeavor Content. The size of the order is still to be determined but likely will consist of at least eight episodes.

 

The Deadline reports that "This marks the fourth scripted series order for Apple's recently formed worldwide video programming division under Jamie Erlicht & Zack Van Amburg. For more on this read the full report here.

 

Exactly a week ago Apple Worldwide Video landed their first development project for a crime story starring Octavia Spencer along with a series about extraordinary homes, that delves into the minds of the people who built them.

 

With a string of new shows and series for Apple's new video content division, it would strongly suggest that Apple could be planning an announcement of their new service (or expansion of Apple TV) later this year.
