Apple's iPhone customers love when they get a new operating system chock-full of new features for free. Yet this time Canada's largest city has put out a notice to its citizens urging them not to test out one of Apple's new iOS 11 features. The Toronto Police is urging those updating to iOS 11 to not try out the 911 feature. The tweet issued yesterday is pretty clear that clogging up the 911 emergency system just to test a new iOS 11 feature is clogging up the emergency call system.

Below is a screenshot of the iOS 11 interface regarding Emergency SOS feature. Users can also ask Siri to "Call 911."

It's really hard to believe that so many people were actually testing that feature out to warrant the tweet, but life at times is stranger than fiction. Will we see this repeated in other Canadian and/or U.S.cities in the coming days? I rather doubt it, but only time will tell.
