Apple Watch goes on sale on Friday with a Cellular Connectivity Glitch that Apple is working on to fix
Apple's new Series 3 smartwatch starts shipping this Friday, and the biggest feature change between last year's model and this new Watch is that it has built-in cellular capabilities. The problem is that cell service isn't entirely reliable at the moment. The Watch has a tendency to connect to unknown WiFi networks instead of connecting to cellular. Apple released a statement on this noting that "We have discovered that when Apple Watch Series 3 joins unauthenticated Wi-Fi networks without connectivity, it may at times prevent the watch from using cellular. We are investigating a fix for a future software release." The Apple Watch goes on sale this Friday. Hopefully they'll have the fix ready to download quickly.
