Report Claims that you could take Photos of the Eclipse on an iPhone without a Filter

If you plan on capturing the total solar eclipse later this morning with your smartphone or GoPro camera, you won't need to worry about taping a solar filter over the lens. According to Apple, you could point your iPhone at the sun right now to take photos and the camera's sensor and the lens would not be damaged. and the same is the case for the solar eclipse.

 

USA Today reported that some have warned photographers attempting to take images of the eclipse to buy special solar filters for cameras.
